What proof of insurance do I need to circulate with the car and to show if it is required?

We have already spoken on several occasions about the roles of the car with which you have to travel.
Even so, today we want to give special attention to the proof of insurance. We know that it is mandatory to have car insurance and therefore it is mandatory to have a receipt that proves it.
Recall what are the papers that can be requested in automobile controls:

seguro de autos
  • Driving record
  • ID
  • Green or Blue Certificate
  • VTV
  • Patent
  • If you have gas equipment: wafer a day.
  • Proof of insurance coverage.

IMPORTANT: The proof of insurance will be requested because it is COMPULSORY to have coverage, at least, against third parties.

While the policy is being processed, you will be given what is called a "certificate of coverage", this will be sufficient proof to present to the authorities.

Once you have your insurance policy, keep in mind that it must include the following elements:

Name of the person to whom the policy was issued.
The data of the road in question.
The data that prove that the policy is in force (in case the auto insurance fee is not automatically debited, always carry proof of payment).

Check that each of these data is written correctly.

As you can see, it is not complicated to have all the papers that will be requested in a legal manner. Having everything up to date and in order, will prevent you from having problems and setbacks. Remember that if you do not take the papers with you, they can charge you a fine and remove points from the card, until the car is retained.

you can quote your car insurance, with the best insurance companies in the country, comparing prices and coverages, all in one place and in a matter of a few clicks.
